Flash Forward Episode 2 Summary

Previously on FlashForward, there was a global blackout. And flash forwards. Except for one person who remained awake.
We open in a school yard, where the kids have all presumably blacked out. Except for Benford’s daughter, Charlie, who’s standing there watching. Oh wait, the kids are playing a new game called “blackout” and they all wake up and talk about what they “saw”. When one of the kids asks Charlie what she saw, she says it’s none of their business. A teacher comes by to break up the ruckus and Charlie takes off in a run, only to be stopped by various tanks and army personnel who are close by.
Mark is at an AA meeting, where one member is just complaining about the inevitable future. Mark tells the guy to shut up and then he and Aaron talk about the flashes after the meeting. Aaron thinks that everyone in the world is dealing with the same thing and thinks that it is binding people together….

A superb beginning to a new series. The first episode of Flash Forward was very intriguing with its one of a kind story line. My bet is that Flash Forward is sure to be the hottest show on TV this year! Check back soon for a full summary of the episode.

The Flash Forward 5 Year Plan
In a recent interview, Flash Forward’s David Goyer (also behind The Dark Knight) said that the Flash Forward plot include a story that can easily last for a full 5 seasons. He also started that the plot can be shortened to 3 seasons without ruining the story if need be. He also stated if the series were to be extended beyond 5 seasons that it would not be a problem.

“David Goyer, co-creator of ABC’s buzzworthy sci-fi series FlashForward, wants to let you know that everything you know is wrong.
That is, everything you think you know about his new series, which he is executive-producing with Brannon Braga and Marc Guggenheim, based on the book by Robert J. Sawyer. Goyer spoke with us on the show’s set on the Disney studios lot in Burbank, Calif, on Monday, along with stars Joseph Fiennes, Dominic Monaghan, Jack Davenport and others.
In the series, everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes 17 seconds, during which time each person has a glimpse of the future and their lives on a specific date: April 29, 2010. The show’s characters will spend the bulk of the first season figuring out what will come true and whether they can alter the predictions.

FlashForward debuts Sept. 24 and will air Thursdays at 8 p.m.”
